The Es Saadi Hotel – part of a gardens and resort complex – is set in the heart of the city of Marrakesh, in an 8 hectares park with shaded pathways running amongst flowers, orange trees, bougainvillea and palm trees. Run for three generations by the family Bauchet-Bouhlal, it combines luxury and refinement with traditional Moroccan hospitality. The hotel has 150 air-conditioned medium sized guestrooms, all with private bath and balcony, mini bar, individual safe, telephone, radio and satellite TV. The rooms are decorated in a conservative but attractive style and in perfect condition. Vegetables, fruits and even fowl are grown organically on the hotel farm near Marrakech and served up in the restaurant (in the casino), which specialises in gourmet French cuisine – either table d’hôte or à la carte. Alternatively, the snack bar allows lunches and drinks to be taken in the open air all year round on the flowered terrace next to the swimming pool.
