Comment
Hotel in itself fine for a three star. However location was not ideal for two women visitors on their own. Large congregations of men on streets outside with little respect for western women - we were jostled and spat at even though we were covered up.The atmosphere felt threatening at times. Hotel staff similarly dismissive. Couples seemed to fair better.
Top Tip
Always have small coins and notes with you to pay off the hustlers who want to give you directions in the Souk. They are well practiced and will not be fobbed off. Menara Gardens didn't live up to expectations. Rest of tourist sites were fab though. A great experience - just have your wits about you.
